Look at "Testing The Waters": Dual Distance AW.

Original article written by Abby Brooks posted 6 weeks 3 days ago

Testing The Waters..

Testing The Wat..

Testing The..

Testing All Weather..

That's what I wanted to name him, but I decided for something more cliché, something that marked the true start of me breeding All Weather when I saw his gallop.

“Y58-Preseason Trainer: 'Horse 60645214354' is a stakes quality horse. This horse should progress throughout their career, but don’t wait too long to get them to the races!”

Whaaat? Out of a Stephen mare who frankly didn't win anything and was probably going to be sent to be “deleted” *cough* turned into dog food *cough* at greener pastures? Frankly Silja, his dam, hasn't produced jack since this and I’m happy to announce I got gifted with a slide. He ended up turning into a freak in YR 61, aka when he turned 4 and then won both the Pegasus Synthetic Mile and the Stewards Cup Synthetic Mile. He later also won the Pegasus Route. Am I upset that he didn't end up winning the Stewards Cup Route? Yeah but I cant ask for more from a guy I bred while dipping my toes in the water. Toes In The Water.. Yeah..that would’ve been a good one too.

Now I realize I’m just rambling, but I love this guy and his goofy headshot. I really wrote this article to talk about his stud career so far and why I love him so much.

But Abby..he’s kinda expensive..

Yeah, he is. Sure there is better options out there for freak percentages or average earnings for start. But guess what? His sire line is fresh, and he is arguably one of the best dual distance all weather horses since the sim started. Yeah, I said it. I have an ego, and so does he. Did he lose? Duh. Did Zenyatta lose..? Yeah..but that doesn't make her less than one of the best mares of her time.

Anyways..

Out of all his foals, 117 have hit the tracks, and 70 have come back as winners. That’s a winners-to-runners rate of 59.8%, which is pretty stinking cool. These progeny have collectively earned an impressive $8,008,200, averaging $68,446 per runner which is even stinking cooler.

Talking about his offspring is great and all, but what are they doing?

Multi Millionaire Testing the Angels – All Weather Derby, Pegasus Route.

Millionaire Wild Water Rapids – Plastics Ladies Mile, Synthetic Distaff

3 year old Uncharted Waters – Stewards Cup Synthetic Juvenile Fillies

Be cool and breed to Waters. Be even cooler and send me a message for a free breeding to a stakes winner producing mare.
